About
After 25 years of teaching Art and Textiles at secondary school level in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, the opportunity to retire at the end of 2011 was a welcome chance to pursue a career as a Textile Artist.
Many workshops, especially through The Australian Forum for Textile Arts events, increased my knowledge and passion in this area. I am enjoying the process of developing my own style, with a preference for working mainly with silk and wool.
I often use my travel photos as inspiration for many of my artworks. The most recent of these have been developed via printing, free-motion machine stitching and felt making, using unique and creative techniques.
